Divorce Foreclosure

Other than lost employment and financial burden, divorce stands above many others as a primary cause of a foreclosure. In a divorce, the fact that the husband and wife separate can create a serious financial matter. Since the husband and wife each contribute to the mortgage, the divorce makes it impossible for correct and full payments to still be made, causing foreclosure, known as a divorce foreclosure. While the divorce being processed, a party that has left may refuse to make payments, causing foreclosure to occur, affecting both husband and wife. Even after the divorce, foreclosure can still present itself as a significant problem. Usually, family court grants custody rights to the mother, who may often times has a lesser salary. With custody rights, that parent usually receives rights to the home as well. If unable to pay, foreclosure may occur, even if it has resulted from unpaid child support payments. Whichever parent has ownership of the title will be negatively affected in terms of their credit and finances. In any case, divorce will certainly make the foreclosure process more complicated, and family court may be need to be involved in making the proper judgment.
