New Jersey Foreclosing Rights

New Jersey allows a ten-day statutory right of redemption under the standard power-of-sale foreclosure procedure
Statutory Right Of Redemption:
I code a state as permitting a statutory right of redemption if the borrower always has that option under the foreclosure process (judicial or power-of-sale) that is standard in that state. New Jersey allows a ten-day statutory right of redemption under the standard power-of-sale foreclosure procedure. Since this period is substantially less than the sixmonth to one-year period allowed in other states, I code New Jersey as not allowing a statutory right of redemption. Under this definition, nine states allow a statutory right of redemption.
